Play Lounge

What to Expect

No experience required. Our classes are designed to make everyone feel welcome and get a great workout. Wear yoga-like attire (socks are optional) and bring a water bottle. We supply all props needed. We encourage new clients to arrive 15 minutes early to get a tour and meet your instructor.

Play Lounge

It’s easy to fit exercise into your life when you can bring the kids. Minors under 18 years of age are welcome. If minors are on the premises while guardians are in class, you must purchase a play lounge package. Reservations are highly recommended. Please reserve under your name and not your child’s name.

Our science-backed approach helps clients build strength, restore balance, increase endurance and energy, decrease stress, and rediscover the joy of movement. The transformative power of our workout is more than physical—and it extends far beyond the studio. Barre3 isn’t just about the hour you spend strengthening and balancing your body; it’s also about the empowerment you carry with you into your life.

Karen Netsch Timmons
Studio Owner

Karen Timmons, co-owner of barre3 St. Charles, was born and raised in St. Charles. After graduating from Mizzou, Karen spent the next 20 years in Chicago, London, Los Angeles and New Jersey working in corporate marketing. Karen and her family eventually replanted their roots in St. Charles to raise their two children near family. In 2018, cousin and friend, Sally Miller, introduced Karen to barre3 and proposed a business partnership to bring barre3 to their hometown. Karen jumped at the opportunity to refocus on health, balance and empowerment. Like so many working moms, Karen had struggled to make time for fitness over the recent years. Barre3’s modifiable full-body workout and mindfulness culture resonates with Karen on so many levels and is so excited to share it with the St. Charles community.

Sally Miller, co-owner of barre3 St. Charles and cousin of Karen, was also born and raised in St. Charles. As a long-time athlete and fitness enthusiast, Sally rises to any challenge. A 2-time Ironman triathlete, life-long tennis player, yoga student and competitive gymnast during her young life and in college, Sally embraces all aspects of health, fitness, and sustainability. Sally discovered barre3 in Winter Park, FL, where she resides with her family. Barre3 has brought all of Sally’s athletic pursuits into perspective, discovering what it truly means to be healthy, balanced, challenged and strong. Sally is excited to share the best of barre3 with St. Charles where her parents and large extended family still live, and she is thrilled about spending more time with them, her friends, and new barre3 community in St. Charles.
