Studio Owner

Rachel Liu-May

I first discovered barre3 while attending Oregon State University. Prior to college, I toured internationally with a Taiwanese pop singer as one of 18 dancers on his world concert tour. After returning to the U.S., I missed the connection and sense of community I had experienced while performing, and I found that same feeling through barre3.

I was a devoted client before earning my instructor certification in 2016. Since then, I have taught at studios across Corvallis, Portland, and Seattle. In July 2026, I became the owner of barre3 Seattle-Roosevelt, a studio where I have built some of my most meaningful friendships and connections.

At barre3 Seattle-Roosevelt, we make your experience our top priority, and we can't wait to welcome you into our community.

barre3 Seattle - Roosevelt | Barre Classes in Roosevelt

barre3 Seattle - Roosevelt | Barre Classes in Roosevelt

You'll find barre classes at barre3 Seattle - Roosevelt on Roosevelt Way NE, the century-old commercial strip the neighborhood took its name from. The high school stands two blocks northeast in a landmarked 1922 building, with a jazz band that’s among the most decorated in the country. The light rail station is just a block east, four stops from downtown. Walk the other way, over I-5, and Green Lake is about 15 minutes on foot—a paved path rings the water for just under three miles and fills with runners before work. Stop in before a loop around the lake, or work barre3 into your week.

Our barre3 Seattle - Roosevelt studio offers everything you need for a balanced practice. Barre3 Signature blends strength, cardio, and mindfulness into one complete full-body workout, using the barre, core ball, and weights to build strength, increase flexibility, and sharpen balance. B3 Strength is the deeper muscle work—heavier weights and slow, deliberate movement that builds the kind of strength you feel in your everyday life. B3 Cardio brings the heat—a high-energy, full-body push that leaves you feeling accomplished and clear-headed, not wiped out. B3 Mindful Flow uses breath-driven movement to restore your body and build the mobility and ease your body needs to keep up with your life. You'll leave feeling stronger and more capable than when you walked in. Every fitness level is welcome.
