Sandy Grimes is a healthcare-executive turned barre3 owner. After retiring from an exceptional career with Johnson & Johnson, she began to focus on her avid interest in exercise and health, as well as giving back to her community. Finally, with some free time to evaluate options, she found that she was healthier and more energized with the balance she found at barre 3. The connection, the community, and the healthy results she found at barre3 sparked her to involve her daughter, Stephanie. Both Sandy and Stephanie became quickly hooked, and now they're excited to become co-owners of barre3 Philadelphia and continue their healthy, happy journey together.

Hi, I am Stephanie Grimes and first discovered barre3 in 2014 while working as a nurse at Penn. My mom and co-owner Sandy brought me to my first class and I knew immediately that this was something special. What drew me to barre3 initially was the heart-pumping workout and inclusive community. What keeps me coming back is my love of learning. barre3 has taught me endlessly about body wisdom, mental strength, mindfulness, and so much more. Years later, we embarked on the journey of being the first mother-daughter duo to open a barre3 studio. We are passionate about building a team and community that supports one another in becoming their own best teachers all the while moving our bodies in a way that fun and empowering.
