Nikki Hedren

I’m Nikki Hedren (she/her) and I found barre3 in 2014 while living in Washington, DC. I was looking for a way to decompress from a stressful job in higher education and my background in dance made barre classes an intriguing option. I took my first class at the Georgetown studio and was immediately struck by the warmth of the community, the heart-pumping workout and the infectious energy that vibrated throughout the studio. More than anything, I connected to the empowering message to trust and love my body above all else for I am my greatest advocate and my own best teacher. I knew I had just experienced something incredibly special – this feeling and this community were what I had been searching for. I fell hard and quickly went from member to instructor to Lead Instructor and Studio Manager. After 10 years in the DC area, my husband, Patrick, and I made the decision to move home to Minneapolis during the pandemic. Not long after, we welcomed our pup, Timber, followed by our daughter, Reese! My dream has always been to bring barre3 to Minneapolis and I’m thrilled to build this community in the North Loop – a safe space for you to come as you are, give generously to yourself, move out of joy instead of shame and be celebrated for the strong, capable, resilient, beautiful human you are. I can’t wait to meet you.

barre3 Minneapolis | Barre Classes in the North Loop

Barre3 Minneapolis sits on 2nd Avenue North in the North Loop, the district of brick lofts and converted warehouses that fills the blocks between downtown and the Mississippi. Spoon and Stable, one of the city's most acclaimed restaurants, serves dinner a block north inside a 1906 horse stable. A short walk east, First Bridge Park runs down to the riverfront, marking the spot where the first bridge across the Mississippi opened in 1855 with trails following the water to connect to the wider Grand Rounds path. Target Field anchors the neighborhood's southwest edge. Stop in before a game or a walk along the river, or work barre3 into your week.

Our barre3 Minneapolis studio offers everything you need for a balanced practice. Barre3 Signature blends strength, cardio, and mindfulness into one complete full-body workout, using the barre, core ball, and weights to build strength, increase flexibility, and sharpen balance. B3 Strength is the deeper muscle work—heavier weights and slow, deliberate movement that builds the kind of strength you feel in your everyday life. B3 Cardio brings the heat—a high-energy, full-body push that leaves you feeling accomplished and clear-headed, not wiped out. B3 Mindful Flow uses breath-driven movement to restore your body and build the mobility and ease your body needs to keep up with your life. You'll leave feeling stronger and more capable than when you walked in. Every fitness level is welcome.
