Studio owner Amy McNamara

Studio Owner

Amy McNamara

Amy took her first barre3 class in 2013 and was immediately drawn to the workout’s focus on core strength and its emphasis on modifications. What began as a fitness routine quickly evolved into her "happy place"—a space where movement, mindfulness, and community intersect.

In 2015, Amy became an instructor, eventually serving as a studio manager and instructor mentor. Fulfilling a long-held dream, she is now the owner of barre3 Arlington. She has cultivated a welcoming environment where clients feel supported in building both physical and mental strength. Today, she is passionate about nurturing a community that values consistency, care, and the importance of showing up exactly as you are.

Outside the studio, Amy enjoys reading, spending time with her family and taking long walks with her labradoodle, Gumbo.

Our barre3 Arlington studio offers three classes that complement each other across your week. Barre3 Signature blends strength, cardio, and mindfulness into one complete full-body workout, using the barre, core ball, and weights to build strength, increase flexibility, and sharpen balance. B3 Strength is the deeper muscle work—heavier weights and slow, deliberate movement that builds the kind of strength you feel in your everyday life. B3 Cardio brings the heat—a high-energy, full-body push that leaves you feeling accomplished and clear-headed, not wiped out. You'll leave feeling stronger and more capable than when you walked in. Every fitness level is welcome.
