Play Lounge

What to Expect

No experience required. Our classes are designed to make everyone feel welcome and get a great workout. Wear yoga-like attire (socks are optional) and bring a water bottle. We supply all props needed. We encourage new clients to arrive 15 minutes early to get a tour and meet your instructor.

Play Lounge

It’s easy to fit exercise into your life when you can bring the kids. Minors under 18 years of age are welcome. If minors are on the premises while guardians are in class, you must purchase a play lounge package. Reservations are highly recommended. Please reserve under your name and not your child’s name.

Barre3 is functional training with a twist. Rooted in three fitness disciplines—ballet barre, pilates and yoga—barre3 workouts will have you feeling strong and balanced inside and out. We’re known for building lean muscles, a strong core, and long-term postural benefits.

Mary Ann Stisher
Studio Owner

Mary Ann is a native Charlestonian, an entrepreneur, holistic health coach, and mother of two. She is also active in many local philanthropic community organizations including Charleston Waterkeepers and the American Lung Association. She has been part of the local fitness industry for 20 years opening her first boutique studio in 2007. When Mary Ann found Barre3, it was exactly what she was looking for - a challenging, sweaty, class to amazing music that left her body feeling balanced and her mind energized. She knew barre3 would be a great addition to the Charleston community. Mary Ann feels strongly that fitness and holistic nutrition changed her life after surviving cancer and aggressive chemo when she was 19 years old. She has made it her mission to help change people’s lives and let the Charleston community know that fitness is for EVERY BODY no matter where you are on your journey.

Pre + Postnatal

Moms-to-be and new moms love barre3. If you’re pregnant or postpartum, consult with your doctor before taking barre3 classes. Please arrive early to class and check in with your instructor, who will provide alternative postures appropriate for pregnant or postpartum clients.
