Stephanie Grimes
Studio Owner

Stephanie Grimes is a cardiac nurse turned barre3 client and instructor, and now the co-owner of barre3-Philadelphia. While working as a nurse, Stephanie spent her days promoting health to her patients, but she found it hard to practice what she preached. Long shifts in the hospital combined with unhealthy snacks as meals left her feeling tired and cranky. On her days off, Stephanie would try to make up for her unhealthy lifestyle by following a no-pain-no-gain fitness mentality and a less-is-more nutrition philosophy. Her body and mind were desperate for some barre3 balance. It wasn’t until her mom, now co-owner of barre3 Philadelphia, invited her to a class at barre3 Newtown, that Stephanie found an approach that served her body and mind. This lead her to become an instructor and, now, an owner. For Stephanie, sharing total-body wellness with clients is the most rewarding part of becoming part of the barre3 family. She and her mom, Sandy, are so excited to embark on this journey together as the first mother-daughter barre3 owner team.

Sandy Grimes
Studio Owner

Sandy Grimes is a healthcare-executive turned barre3 owner. After retiring from an exceptional career with Johnson & Johnson, she began to focus on her avid interest in exercise and health, as well as giving back to her community. Finally, with some free time to evaluate options, she found that she was healthier and more energized with the balance she found at barre 3. The connection, the community, and the healthy results she found at barre3 sparked her to involve her daughter, Stephanie. Both Sandy and Stephanie became quickly hooked, and now they're excited to become co-owners of barre3 Philadelphia and continue their healthy, happy journey together.
