Why We're Hiring: Barre3 is seeking a video director to make compelling videos across a variety of use cases. You will be responsible for filming our online workouts, managing video and audio, and in addition, you will conceptualize, shoot, and cut social-first and longform video for multiple platforms including our online magazine and promotional pieces. Creating the site’s video identity and who can bring original ideas to the table—a leader in the multimedia we create, not just someone who takes direction. We’re looking to innovate in the video space—create new formats and ways to feature workouts, recipes and more—and you’ll be tasked to think of and execute them.

 

You will:

  • Lead the execution of all video content in partnership with production team
  • Pitch new series and stories to innovate video content on the site
  • Manage first and second assistants and lighting crew, plus any freelance videographers

 

Qualifications:

  • Excellent people and team leadership skills
  • A great team player with distinctive interpersonal skills
  • Minimum 4 years professional video production experience inside and outside the studio
  • Expert-level skills in video editing software
  • Deep knowledge of equipment and gear (Including cameras, lighting and sound)
  • A strong knowledge of multiple platforms for video
  • Management experience, a detail-oriented approach, consistent execution, and reliability
  • Ability to light on-set and in natural light
